Sekilas Tentang FISIKA

SEJARAH

engan latar belakang sejarah pertumbuhan bangsa, yang menyadari bahwa upaya mendidik dan mencerdaskan bangsa merupakan bagian penting dalam mengisi kemerdekaan, maka pada hari Rabu tanggal 20 Oktober 1954 PTPG didirikan. Hal ini sebagai realisasi Keputusan Menteri Pendidikan Pengajaran dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia No. 357 tanggal 2 September 1954 tentang pendirian Perguruan Tinggi Pendidikan Guru.

Pada awalnya PTPG dipimpin oleh seorang Dekan, yang membawahi beberapa jurusan, salah satunya jurusan Pasti Alam. Tahun 1958 PTPG diintegrasikan menjadi salah satu fakultas Universitas Padjadjaran, dengan nama Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP). Tahun 1963 FKIP menjadi IKIP Bandung sebagai satu-satunya lembaga pendidikan guru tingkat universitas. Saat itu jurusan kita merupakan salah satu jurusan di Fakultas Keguruan Ilmu Eksakta, dengan nama jurusan Ilmu Alam. Dan pada tahun 1972 terjadi perubahan nama menjadi Jurusan Pendidikan Fisika.

Seiring dengan kebijakan pemerintah di bidang pendidikan tinggi yang memberikan perluasan mandat bagi LPTK, Oktober 1998 IKIP Bandung berubah nama menjadi Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Dan mulai saat itu jurusan kita membawahi dua program studi, Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika dan Program Studi Fisika.

To be the center of excellence for education and physics study and to have an outstanding international reputation.

MISSION

In an effort to realize the vision of the Physics Study Program FPMIPA UPI, the mission was formulated as follows:

  1. to administer education and teaching programs in physics that are based on quality management systems recognized both nationally and internationally to produce qualified graduates in the field of physics according to their specialization, to have entrepreneurial insights and master a variety of soft skills, to have a concern for environmental and educational issues, and are able to continue education to a higher level (master degree or professional education).
  2. to conduct research in the field of physics so that it can contribute to the development of science and technology.
  3. to carry out community service activities based on the results of studies or research, community needs, and the development of science and technology.
  4. to establish and develop cooperation with various national and international institutions related to education/teaching, research and community service.

GOALS

  1. Produce graduates in the field of physics that posses high qualification according to their specialization, have entrepreneurial insights, master a variety of soft skills, have a concern for environmental and educational issues, and are able to continue their education to a higher level (master degree or professional education).
  2. Obtain research results in the field of physics that can contribute to the development of science and technology.
  3. Conduct community service activities based on the results of studies or research, community needs, and the development of science and technology.
  4. Establish and develop cooperation with various national and international institutions related to education/teaching, research and community service.
